1.3 actually level scales everything to a ridiculous extent to prevent winning battles through grinding, which actually leads to a completely counterproductive playstyle of trying to minimize EXP gains (or alternatively, leveling up to 99 immediately because that's the level cap and enemies set at (Your Level + 20) will still cap out at 99 instead of 119.) while maximizing JP gains (hazing - the process of recruiting a level 1 member and wailing on it to gain JP without EXP)
